Scotland at last!

The train ride was only about 4 hours and what a beautiful ride indeed. The speed of the train prevented me from taking pics that weren't blurry but rest assured, I did manage to take some nice video that I plan to upload soon as I can get these photos samples loaded for you all. Of course, I am only trying to share the best sample of photos I can spare for now. Perhaps more later on..

But I digress! Here are photos of the lovely hotel I stayed in. The outside looks so true to the town's history but once you go inside you notice how modern everything is. The Hotel is the SAS Radisson in case you are in the area and looking for a good hotel.

Ticket to Hogwarts please..

This is found at Kings Cross station in England. This is the only train station where you can catch the train for Edinburgh. Notice the fun tribute they have to Harry Potter ? Yeah, it is a tiny bit corny but important none the less. This is for you Potter fans out there to enjoy. You're welcome!

Hugh don't say!

Did mention how much I enjoyed London? It was so nice to see Hugh Jackman here.

By the way, I must apologize for not posting any pics until now. I had some major internet challenges once I left for Scotland and then again once back in London again. I will continue to post my pics for you all but the dates will obviously be misleading.

Thanks for understanding!

Planes, TRAINS, and automobiles

Here are a few pics of some train stations I went to in order to prepare for my trip to Edinburgh (pronounced 'Edin-burrah') Scotland. It was challenging to navigate through the crowds but at least all the signs were all in english! It will be a while before I am brave enough to venture into foreign lands that don't use english as their common tongue. Notice how tidy everything is? Oh yeah, I liked that! Onto Scotland!

Madame Tussaud's

I had to go to see all the wax replicas of celebrity and historical figures. See if you can recognize a few of them.

Day at the Museum

Hello everybody,
I visited the The Museum of Natural History yesterday and wanted to share my trip with you ! The building is a beautiful victorian design and everywhere you look you see something amazing. I loved the exhibits but I could not help but take pics of the details of the building itself. Look for yourselves..

Cheers!

I went down the pub and finally had a guiness. It was pretty darn good. I sat with a father and his son from Yorkshire. They were in town to meet with their member of Parliment rep who invited them for a tour. The dad was a retired journalist who had the funniest stories I had ever heard. He took this pic of me as proof of my guiness right of passage here in lovely ol' England. Take that Jim!

Do clothes make the man?

Dear Son,
I know you wanted me to bring you back something to wear from London. Here are a few pics of the fashions I saw in the windows. I cannot bring you back anything to wear from London unless you are competely willing to change your lifestyle and allow yourself to get beaten up routinely. It is your decision! Just let me know..
Love, Mom

Lost in Translation

One thing I noticed here is that everywhere you go there is somebody who speaks your
language. Just lo0k at the sign I found hanging in one of the market cafes'. I was really impressed at the lower right side on the list. I an pretty rusty in this language otherwise I would have tested them!

Picture number #2:
French people should stick to pastries & cheese.
And get spell chcek.

The street I live on

Hey there readers! I didn't want anybody to think Iam living in the lap of squalor here in London. Here is a pic of the outside street from my hotel. See? Very clean and safe. In fact, Scotland Yard is just down the street so I feel pretty safe mostly.

Shopping is FUN!

Shopping is so much fun here in London. Just take a look at the cute way they market their juice drinks for kids in the grocery store. Isn't that adorable? Who wouldn't love to have a "Happy Monkey" in their hands right now?

Of course, there are some things I don't think I will buy today..I went to Camden Market today and well, I found out that London is very liberal minded on herbal usage..

Tea with da Queen

So I dropped by Buckingham Palace to say "Wazzzup!" but the guards said she was busy. Okay.. I can take a hint. I wandered around the grounds in case she changed her mind and took some pics of the palace (notice the flag.. it means she's home!), the front gates and the monument to Queen Victoria. I think she has done a swell job with the place. I got to get the name of her gardner!
